Dale Vince Backed Rosebank Drilling in the Newsnight Studio
Rosebank and Jackdaw are back if ministers price-control wholesale energy.

The Ecotricity founder who told the Sunday Times in April that new North Sea drilling would be a betrayal of millions sat under the Newsnight lights on Monday and said he was up for Rosebank, eighty miles west of Shetland, and Jackdaw, a hundred and fifty miles east of Aberdeen, if ministers price-control wholesale energy, which is a tidy conversion for a Labour donor who asked Ed Miliband to stick to the manifesto.
He posted the clip himself with a smiley and the line that this is a new approach to north sea oil and gas, after telling the studio that if we are going to burn the stuff we might as well make it here and save some money, a green halo that now comes with two licensed fields back on the docket.
