Kyrgios Tested Positive for Cocaine at Mallorca ATP
August 19, 2026
He posted the huge mistake, then asked for 28 days of privacy.

Nick Kyrgios just got a mandatory provisional suspension after the Mallorca sample came back with a cocaine metabolite. His Instagram move is to take full responsibility then ask everyone to respect his privacy for 28 days. He wrote that he made a huge mistake. Then he said he is leaving social media and public life. That order is what makes it so funny. The ITIA already announced it and the ban started August 4, so he cannot play, coach or attend sanctioned events anyway. He has not appealed. He was a wildcard who lost first round to Adam Walton. Now Kyrgios wants people to look away after he already posted the confession, hoping the post disappears if he logs off. The WADA lab already confirmed the metabolite, so logging off does not change the result.
