Tesla Energy just moved the customers over to regular panels in complete silence. The installers got the message loud and clear that the tiles are dead and not financially viable. Musk did not bother with an official sunset. Musk put out the thousand a week pitch for tile roofs to anyone who would listen. The US count sits at about three thousand tile roofs after seven years. Those three thousand roofs sit on real houses. The house that still has tiles is left with Tesla Energy's redirect to regular panels for good.
